Hand Building / Tile Making Workshop

Service Description

At Secrets Of Clay, join Arezoo for a hand building OR tile making workshop and bring your creativity to life. It is 2 hours program. The descriptions for both are as follows: Hand building: This is more of a sculpture making session - you can create any form you wish, using techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building. Arezoo will guide you in your creations, and provide tips and recommendations! You can make something functional, or just something fun! Tile making: Arezoo will start by introducing you to the materials, tools and techniques. She will then provide designs and show you how to transform them to your tile. Before you know it, you will have created your own unique and beautiful piece of art. Arezoo often creates large mosaics for businesses, made up of multiple tiles. Come get your hands dirty and make something beautiful! Please note that depending on how much detail you want to have on your tile, you might not finish it in just one session. If this is the case, we can store your piece here and you may book another class (at a cheaper rate) to finish it. Whichever technique you choose, you'll leave with a newfound appreciation for the beauty of clay and the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us 48 hours in advance, as our space is limited. For all clay workshops: You will come and make whatever you wish and then you may choose to take your piece home or to leave it with us and we will recycle the clay to use again! Note that for a single piece, we will not fire it for you, however there are a number of community kilns in HRM, each of which you are able to rent and fire your pieces.
